Wow y’all, I totally apologize for not updating on Wednesday. I’ve been experiencing some major brain fog this past week, so I’m not as on top of things as I normally would be. Still, I got a nice quick recipe for y’all today, that’s guaranteed to knock your socks off! It’s the fastest, easiest alfredo recipe you’ve probably ever had, with only eight ingredients, perfect for those weeknights when you need dinner quick.
- 8 oz (250g) whole wheat fettuccini noodles
- 15 peeled medium shrimps (if frozen use size 16 shrimps)
- 1 cup (236 mL) heavy cream
- 1 cup (100g) grated parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp Italian herb butter (be sure it has garlic)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Boil the noodles in water for ten minutes. While that boils, boil shrimp on medium heat for 3-5 minutes until done. Strain the shrimp and set aside.
In a sauce pan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat and add the parmesan and butter. Stir until thickened, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Add shrimp to the sauce.
Drain noodles and plate, then top with shrimp and sauce.
And that’s it! It’s very simple and easy to put together in a hurry. It’s one of my husband’s favorite meals, and mine too! Give it a try and let me know how it goes. 🙂
